The GSM Modem......
.....what it can do for you.
All Fuelstretcher units can now be fitted with a GSM modem. The modem permits three added value functions that enhance the fuel saving potential of the unit:
The modem can be called remotely from the Fuelstretcher office and current settings and values displayed. If necessary, settings can be adjusted.
In addition, data downloads of up to six months can be recorded. This gives skilled Fuelstretcher staff the facility to examine cycles and phases to determining the optimum tuning of the unit. It also allows identification of the exact time of changes in operating patters. These can be caused by power cuts, outages of pumps and other heating system components, boiler failures and many other incidents.

A Typical Six Day Chart
During the two year fuel saving guarantee period, a call to the Fuelstretcher office can trigger a modem call to your unit and a speedy assessment can be made and reported back.

This 24 hour chart clearly shows a problem. The customer was alerted and confirmed a boiler failure.
Of course, the operation of the modem relies on their being a valid GSM signal in the vicinity of the Fuelstretcher unit. A simple check for this is to try to use a mobile phone where the Fuelstretcher unit is likely to be placed. If it works, there is every likelihood that the Fuelstretcher modem will communicate. If it does not, there are various aerial extensions available (at extra cost).
In the case of multiple Fuelstretcher purchases, the customer can be provided with a programmed master modem and the software needed to operate it. He or she will then be able to call the individual Fuelstretchers and monitor their performance from his or her office.
