In April 2002, we were the first leisure centre in the country to install a Fuelstretcher unit to control the energy efficiency of our gas boilers and to help us cut fuel bills. Fuelstretcher is an intelligent self-learning boiler control system which learns usage patterns and adjusts fuel consumption based on demand and temperatures inside the building.
The gas boilers at Rushcliffe power all our heating and hot water needs, controlling the temperature etc. We worked with Fuelstretcher to develop the system and we are very impressed with the results - in 18 months we have saved well over £10,000 on our heating bills.
