Fuelstretcher installed its controller in December 2002 on the basis that its savings in boiler fuel in our 1 million sq. ft. facility in Peterborough would pay for itself within our corporate capital investment payback criteria. In addition, in a building where accurate temperature control in certain zones has always been a challenge, workplace comfort is vital.
Between January and the end of April 2002, comfort levels were monitored successfull and a 16% weather-related savings achieved. A simple monitoring process in conjunction with our local building services management team is expected to support sustained savings into the long term.
Fuelstretcher's impressive all-round performance has prompted Grattan PLC to request an analysis of a further three sites for fuel savings potential.
