The Western Education and Library Board has been conducting field trials of the Fuelstretcher boiler controller in one of its secondaru schools since January 2003.
Preliminary results to date have shown that the Fuelstretcher controller realised approximately 16% savings with no reduction in room comfort temperatures.
The Board is currently continuing with a trial of the controller over a full school-heating season to identify longer-term savings.
